I’m an NHS consultant clinical psychologist, with 30 years’ experience of working in frontline mental health services. I have a small private practice, with a limited amount of slots available, open to people who want to change their lives for the better.
I’m offering a brief intervention, designed to help people remember who they are & what they want from life, work out where things might have gone wrong & what’s getting in their way, then make a plan for what to do about it.

I see people for a maximum of three months, and sometimes only for a handful of sessions.
Why? The main benefits of therapy tend to occur early on, with diminishing returns after this point. So while therapists are financially incentivised to keep people coming, it’s often suboptimal for clients. I'm not greedy and I don’t like wasting people’s time.
